Getting There

Getting to Palm Springs

Options Abound Depending on your desired travel plans

Air

All major airlines serve Palm Springs (PSP)—the airport is less than 3 miles from downtown—though a layover may be required. Direct flights will be plentiful if you choose Los Angeles (LAX) or San Diego (SAN) instead. Both offer a reasonably short drive to Palm Springs (about 2.5 hours, depending on traffic).

There are several secondary airports similar distances away if you are fare-hunting; Long Beach (LGB), Santa Ana (SNA), Ontario (ONT) and Burbank (BUR) are all options.

GROUND

For guests flying to Palm Springs and not looking to travel or sightsee outside the city limits, Uber, Lyft and traditional taxis are available. If you are using another airport, are interested in exploring the area around Palm Springs, or are spending any time in Los Angeles or San Diego, we strongly recommend renting a car.

TRAVEL TIPS

  • Consider allowing extra time at the beginning of your trip as a contingency in the event winter weather affects your flight(s). We wouldn't want anyone to miss the wedding!
  • If choosing a flight itinerary that includes a layover, avoid connections in cities that are susceptible to winter weather.
  • Avoid driving to Palm Springs from Los Angeles or San Diego during the height of morning or afternoon rush hours. Traffic is inevitable, but will be much thinner in the middle of the day or later in the evening.
